How to defrost burrata cheese?
- Refrigerator: place the container with frozen burrata overnight to 8-10 hours in the refrigerator.
- Room temperature: If you want to use it in next 2 hours, keep it outside at room temperature for 1-2 hours.
- Quick thaw: Place the container with burrata into a bowl with warm water for 15-20 minutes.
- Microwave: Use the defrost setting of the microwave to thaw it in 2-3 minutes.
How to use frozen burrata cheese
- Snack: Once thawed, burrata cheese is great for snacking with crackers.
- Pasta and salad: defrosted burrata can be mixed in pasta, and salads.
- Pizza: It can be topped on pizza just before baking, it is as melty and gooey as mozzarella cheese after baking.
